Capturing magic with the Disney Zoom App

How would you like to make a student body card for Monsters University? Care to watch the trailer for Planes in the palm of your hand? Well check out the Disney Zoom app for that and so much more.

I stumbled upon the Disney Zoom App in the iTunes App Store. I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to do with the app, Here is the description form the App Store.

The Disney Zoom app uses image recognition technology that allows you to scan and interact with a selection of Disney movie posters, Blu-rays artwork to bring your Disney movie experience to life. Scan Disney movie posters at bus stops, in malls, your local theater as well as at special Disney Zoom kiosks at participating theaters*. You can also scan at home at anytime by visiting http://www.zoomdisney.com/#gallery.

The Monsters University Facebook page had a post about creating student ID cards using the App. I was intrigued. I didn't even need to go to a theater and scan a poster. They had the image on the facebook page, or I could go to the Zoom gallery online. It was a super simple process and in a matter of minutes I “enrolled” my entire family in Monsters University, and have the ID's to prove it.
