Steph:
Hey, everyone. Welcome to Capturing Magic. I am Steph Clay and I'm here today with Tanya Hickman, who can be found at Everymagicmoment.com and TanyaH666 on social media. Hi, Tanya.

Tanya:
Hi.

Steph:
Thanks for being here.

Tanya:
Thanks.

Steph:
It's good to be back and visiting with you all again.

Tanya:
Yes.

Steph:
Yeah, and we also have joining us, Heather as always. Heather Winfield who can be found at HeatherW25 on social media and then HeatherW.com\character right? Did I get it all right?

Heather:
Yup. That's me, yup my character site, yup. That's everything.

Steph:
Yay! Let's talk a little bit first, before we jump into the actual show about how we're changing how we're recording these shows because it just works for us and we've been doing this for a long time. We've been … we just kind of binge record.

Tanya:
Yes.

Steph:
Record a whole bunch of episodes and then for a long time we were just kind of dripping them but, I decided to change it and now we're going to release them all at once. I did this last time, just release them all at once and then people can binge listen as well.

Tanya:
It's like binge watching and binge listening is like the new thing.

Steph:
It is! I totally agree and I think … I mean, whenever I start listening to a new podcast or whenever I listen to a podcast, I love having a bunch of episodes that are backed up that I can just let them … because they automatically will play and go into the next one.

Tanya:
Yeah.

Steph:
I love being able to do that and I think it's how our society is moving. I think Netflix has changed us all a lot.

Tanya:
Yeah, I feel like if I actually have time to listen to a podcast, I want to listen to like, more than one because I actually have the time to do it.

Steph:
Yeah, it's usually when I'm on a long-

Tanya:
Same thing with a TV show.

Steph:
Yes, it's usually when I'm on a long drive, or I'm doing a big cleaning project, or something like that and so … I think our listeners do the same thing so, we're moving to that platform and I'd love to hear from our listeners. Reach out to us on social media, or you can come comment on the blog, or email us, or whatever and let us know what you think if you like this new platform too. We're going to keep it up because with our traveling schedules it's hard to get all of us together.

Tanya:
Yeah.

Steph:
As crazy as that sounds it's really hard to get all of us together because someone's usually at Disney.

Tanya:
Heather.

Steph:
Yeah. No for real though, at least one of us.

Tanya:
It's always at least one of us, yeah.

Steph:
Is there so it's difficult to find a time when one of us is not there but yeah, Heather is the biggest culprit of them all.

Heather:
I'm going on Thursday.

Steph:
I know, that's why we had to hurry and [inaudible 00:02:48].

Tanya:
It's practically home now so you should just be able to Skype from there like, set up a computer. Go record a podcast from there.

Steph:
Yeah, you can do Skype on your phone. We've tried that before, it worked out well.

Okay so, our topic today is we're going to finish up the 25th anniversary of DisneyLand Paris and the actual event, correct?

Tanya:
Yes.

Steph:
Okay.

Heather:
April 12.

Tanya:
Actual April 12 anniversary date.

Steph:
Okay. So tell us, tell us what they did.

Tanya:
We'll just walk you through the day I guess, I mean-

Steph:
Yes!

Tanya:
Yeah. Let's see, it started really early. We had really early morning breakfast and then we got into the park. I think the park opens at eight but the ceremony started at nine and so, we got to the park and got into our spot and the festivities started. Heather, go ahead. You're going to be better at describing it, I know you will.

Heather:
Well, it was by the castle and then they just have the music start and they have Mickey and Minnie and all them come out like, in their regular outfits and like, “Oh this is cute”. They have like a little ceremony then they went into-

Tanya:
Wait. Hold on, back up. Back it up, back it up.

Heather:
Okay.

Tanya:
They weren't just in their regular outfits.

Heather:
No, when it first started they were.

Tanya:
I thought they were in the red, white, and yellow outfits. Red, white, black, and yellow outfits?

[crosstalk 00:04:28]

Yeah, no. I could have sworn they came out in the red and white outfits. Or red, black, white, and yellow outfits. Duffy and Shelly May had the special outfits made.

Heather:
Yeah but, that's because that's their new like, outfits I think. Like, Mickey's in like his tuxedo, and Minnie's in her dress, and Donald's in his sailor … they're like their regular outfits.

Tanya:
Oh, I thought there was some special significance to those outfits.

Heather:
No, they're just their regular ones, yeah. They also have dancers for each section we're talking about so, they had a really cute like, the polka dot-

Tanya:
I could have sworn that I heard that those outfits and the matching VIP outfits were from like opening day of DisneyLand Paris.

Heather:
I don't know. But I mean, I'm looking at them and they're the exact same like regular like, Max and Goofy … they're all the regular outfits and that was like Duffy and Shelly May's like new outfits so, I don't know if that's … because they don't meet in the US parks anymore so I don't know if that's their new [meetable? 00:05:32] outfits or if it was whatever but, they matched Mickey and stuff in their polka dots. It's definitely … because it's Mickey's new look so, that's the same thing. Chip and Dale weren't wearing anything, Daisy and Clarice were in their regular stuff. Yeah, it was like the regular things and then after they did that they went into this special song. I can't remember, did we talk about that? We talked about that, right Steph? On the-

Steph:
Yes.

Heather:
That's the song they played so each one was like a different land and they went to that and the first one they had was Frontier Land. They played the song and then the characters, they were coming out from behind the castle and they came into the hub and then they would walk down Main Street. We were sitting in front of the castle area, the hub area and so we were seeing them preform but then, if you were on Main Street you could see them go by you and everything so, it was pretty cool. The first thing, like I said was Frontier Land and they had … no, the first one was Main Street so, it was like the Main Street section and so it was like we were freaking out over everything because it was so amazing. They had Mary Poppins and stuff but they had the Aristocats and so they had all three of them, it wasn't just Marie. They had special outfits so it was almost every character involved had special outfits if they had them or whatever.

Steph:
Oh really?

Heather:
Yeah, so Marie and I don't know how to pronounce the others names like I could spell them. Do you know how to pronounce them? I can spell them, I'm really bad at everyone's yelling at me … they had like their hats had like dapper dans and their things. Those kind of hats and Marie had a cameo of her mothers Duchess' picture on it. It was so cute. They had the dancers and they kind of looked like they were from the Mary Poppins stuff. I guess it's like a dapper day kind of thing.

Steph:
Yeah.

Heather:
They had that and a [inaudible 00:08:07] just regular stuff but each one would come out, each section I guess the Main Street section but then each character set in that kind of came to the front and preformed and so it was like, Mary Poppins and [inaudible 00:08:24] stuff, and then the Aristocats did stuff. Then they had … I don't know why I went along with it but, they had Olaf and the seagulls from “In The Summer”-

Steph:
Yes.

Heather:
…thing so like, he had the same kind of hat like the dapper dan kind of hat. They did that and it was like this whole thing, and so-

Steph:
Okay wait, one question.

Heather:
Yeah.

Steph:
So it was the seagulls from “The Summer” thing, not the seagulls from Nemo?

Heather:
No, it was the seagulls from-

Steph:
Okay. Because, when I saw them on your Instagram I thought … or Tanya's, I don't know who posted them, I thought they were the seagulls from Nemo.

Heather:
Yeah. Honestly, when they first came out I wasn't 100% sure what they were but then I realized that when I was talking to Tanya and we're like, “Yeah, that's it” because it was … they were with Olaf so, that was the thing. They had the same hats as Olaf because he had the hat and he had the cane thing that he does his little dance number things so yeah, that was really-

Steph:
Okay.

Heather:
…cute. That was with the first section and the … I mean, I've been posting pictures but, like Tanya went in order. Between the two of us, if you wanted to see pictures you could look on our Instagram. We had … he hashtag was #TNHDODLP so, that's our hashtag for the whole trip.

[crosstalk 00:09:51]

Those dancers, those outfits, I'm trying to describe them but I can't really. It was really gorgeous, theirs. That was the Main Street one. Then the next section was Frontier Land and I know we said that on the other podcast that it was like, we can't hear Frontier Land the same way after hearing it in the song but … so, they came out and then that had Pocahontas and Meeko. Meeko had a special outfit and it wasn't even like just regular Meeko, it was just like so amazing, and it had The Three Caballeros, and they didn't just have them they had Burrito and Gauchito from the short, which was amazing because I've never seen them in person.

Steph:
Wow.

Heather:
This whole thing, there were like … there were like 150 some characters in this whole ceremony, and I think there were like, probably close to 50 that I've never met so that's how many like, rare, super rare characters.

Steph:
That's amazing. That's incredible. That is incredible.

Heather:
They have, Meeko, they had Jessie, Woody, Bullseye, and again compared to the other ones, oh that's cool but, oh my goodness. It's just like this whole thing where you didn't even know where to look and the person I was sitting next to was just laugh sometimes at me because I was like, “AHH!”

Tanya:
I wasn't standing anywhere near her and I kept screaming her name like, “Look! Look!” And she's like, “I know!”

Steph:
How could you guys not be by each other for that?

Tanya:
I wanted to stand and she wanted to sit so …

Heather:
I was sitting in the front taking pictures and then she was standing. She was kind of behind me-

Tanya:
Yeah.

Heather:
…but a little but over and so she was taking video so we had it covered so … a couple times I was looking at her like, “Ahhh!” Like I couldn't even speak.

Steph:
Yeah.

Tanya:
I went to go look though my photos just now so I can like follow along with what we're talking about and I was like, “I don't even really have any photos. Mine's all video”. She has all the photos, I have all the video.

Steph:
Oh fun.

Heather:
Yeah, like I have thousands of pictures that's why I have them sorted by each section so … then the dancers there, they were like the cowboy-ish. Themed like Frontier Land but again, all these things were so well done. They weren't like these cheesy looking costumes or anything.

Tanya:
Really pretty costumes.

Steph:
Yeah.

Heather:
Anything else about the Frontier Land section? I think I got them all. We were just kind of freaking out over the two of them.

Tanya:
Yes.

Heather:
Like, “Oh my goodness! I've never seen them before in my life.”

Steph:
That's incredible.

Heather:
Then the next section was Adventure Land. That one-

Tanya:
I liked the dancer in this one because they were Birds of Paradise, they were really cute.

Heather:
Yeah, and the guys were like, the leaves. That was [inaudible 00:13:04] they were really cool. This one had more characters that I wish I could kind of like, run out there and tackle to get a picture with but, I thought I guess I would have been thrown out if I did that, I don't know but …

Steph:
Oh, I bet you were dying.

Heather:
I was dying because they had Aladdin, Jasmine, and then Sultan.

Tanya:
He was so cute! I want to dance with him because he was just like all bubbly and dancy. He was so cute.

Heather:
They had Tarzan and Jane, I think Chuck was there. Sometimes it was like a regular character there and I was like whatever because they had like these other ones. They had Captain Jack Sparrow and Angelica, who she used to meet at the park when that movie came out, she met for a couple months, so I met her but like, I haven't seen her since.

Tanya:
Yeah.

Heather:
That was pretty cool. I think that was it on that section but, that Sultan was just … that was pretty amazing.

Tanya:
Yeah, it was really good.

Heather:
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sultan like you said, the costumes because, I mean the ones the girls were wearing were just like [inaudible 00:14:19].

Tanya:
Mm-hmm (affirmative).

Heather:
Then they had Discovery Land, which again is like their Tomorrow Land section.

Steph:
Uh huh.

Heather:
This … how many characters were on this section?

Tanya:
I don't … all the experiments.

Heather:
I think like, almost every character in this was like-

Tanya:
Pleakley and Drag, it was amazing. It was amazing.

Heather:
I didn't even really, you know.

Tanya:
Yeah. This isn't like my thing either and I was just like, “Ahh!”

Heather:
I didn't know this stuff existed, oh my goodness. Then they had from Treasure Planet, they had Ben and … I forgot his name. Tanya, I'm just freezing on the name.

Tanya:
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait for it. No I don't have him.

Steph:
Don't worry guys.

Heather:
All of a sudden my brain is blanking but yeah, Ben and …

Tanya:
I'm going to look it up, just keep talking. I can't figure it out right now.

Steph:
Just keep talking, just keep talking.

Heather:
From Atlantis, they had Kida and Milo, and that was another oh my goodness I'm passing out moment because all four of them, I had never seen them before because obviously they're not like big movies. They were kind of in that time period where Disney put them out but they didn't become a big thing so, I know they met a some point probably at US parks but-

Tanya:
Jim Hawkins. Jim Hawkins.

Heather:
Okay, thank you. I kept looking at the picture and I'm-

Tanya:
I know.

Heather:
Yeah.

Tanya:
Sorry, continue.

Heather:
They … it was amazing because I never seen them before. I don't even know if I've seen pictures of all of them. I know I've seen maybe pictures of like a special event, maybe once or something but, it was real … so I took a ton of pictures of them especially of like, all them. That whole section was just amazing. It was just all, “Oh my goodness. Where do I look?”

Tanya:
It was the experiments, Treasure Planet, and Atlantis. Was it just those three?

Heather:
Yeah.

Tanya:
So it was literally, Stitch was the only person you see on a daily basis.

Steph:
Holy cow.

Heather:
His costume was like the entire-

Tanya:
Yeah, all the costumes and everything … the experiments had on costumes that matched the themeing, it was crazy.

Steph:
Holy cow.

Heather:
Then like the dancers, their things were really cool, the steampunk stuff on their hats and … oh my goodness. I think that was like the coolest side because everything that was there was so rare.

Tanya:
It was the section I wasn't expecting to really like as much either, and I think I liked it almost the most as far as the details of that one.

Steph:
Right.

Heather:
I think there were five or six experiments along with like Stitch and Angel, and all. Yeah, it was like-

Tanya:
There was … I'm watching the video. One, two, three, four, five, six of them including Stitch and then Pleakley.

Heather:
Mm-hmm (affirmative). Yeah so, that was-

Tanya:
Crazy.

Heather:
…amazing. Then they had the Fantasy Land section so, that one was like … I thought of you Steph because they had Jiminy there.

Steph:
Awe.

Heather:
Jiminy and it was-

Tanya:
Alice In Wonderland characters.

Heather:
Oh yeah. Alice and they had Cheshire Cat, and March Hare-

Tanya:
Peter Pan and Wendy.

Heather:
Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. They had … there weren't really alot of them there, there were a couple that were the Alice characters but still, I love Fantasy Land so, I love seeing that and I love seeing Snow with all the characters is cute. The dancers costumes, they were like kind of faries.

Tanya:
They almost looked like a mixture between a fairy and a calalilly or a flower of somesort.

Steph:
Oh, okay.

Heather:
It was pink, it was really pretty. The strange thing was, Tink wasn't in any of this-

Tanya:
Any of this.

Heather:
…and she's like their symbol for the 25th anniversary. She's on all the lampposts and stuff and it was like-

Tanya:
I thought for sure we were going to get to see her in her blue dress.

Steph:
Yeah.

[crosstalk 00:18:36]

Tanya:
It's all good.

Heather:
Yeah.

Tanya:
They more than made up for it.

Heather:
Yeah, she was like, one of the only like, characters of like, any Disney kind that wasn't there. It was a little strange but, yeah. Then they had the Sleeping Beauty section so, they had … again, it's Sleeping Beauty's castle so, they had-

Tanya:
They're very good about highlighting her-

Heather:
Yeah.

Tanya:
…like in a lot of stuff there like, it's all about Princess Aurora. It's her castle, it's her park, it's her thing, you know?

Heather:
As it should be, yeah. It's not just like, I'm not talking Aurora like, in her regular dress like you see. I mean, it was this gorgeous like, pinkish purpleish kind of thing and it had kind of an armor kind of on it, and this gold thing around her neck, and the crown, and the if that was the only thing in thing whole ceremony, that would have been enough.

Tanya:
I would have been happy.

Heather:
Phillip's outfit was just like ridiculously gorgeous, and they had the three fairies and they did like, the whole proclamation for the 25th and their outfits were a little different too. They were the ones, they're not face characters because now in the parade they're mostly face characters but, they were not. They were the … but they had special outfits also that were like, fancier and the three of them so … they did that they did a little proclamation thing, and I don't remember exactly what they did because again I was so in my hole like, “Oh my goodness”. Do you remember anything else they said or no, Tanya?

Tanya:
Hold on, I can listen to it.

Heather:
Okay, she has a video.

Tanya:
Let me see what she's talking about. I think she's just welcoming everybody to the event, I think that's what it was.

Heather:
Yeah.

Steph:
You can hear it, that's nice. You should play that song. Play that song so we can hear it.

Tanya:
Oh my god.

Heather:
So then, after that-

Steph:
Heather's like, “No. Moving on”.

Heather:
No. I mean, we can but like, this was a thing but, then it was just like “Okay, we're done. We're just throwing every single character you've every seen in your life” and they just kept walking out in this line.

Steph:
Oh my goodness.

Heather:
I think that's [inaudible 00:20:56] too. We were like, “Ah! Oh my goodness! What's going on?” I mean … it was just … I can't even … I mean it was Three Little Pigs, Oswald, and Roger Rabbit, Jessica-

Tanya:
It was like 100 characters came like marching out.

Heather:
Yeah. And just like … yeah. The had from Big Hero 6 you know, [inaudible 00:21:20] in the park but, they had like all of them. Hero, he's not a face character anymore so, it was like, Hero, [inaudible 00:21:27]-

Tanya:
Merlin, and Merlin-

Heather:
…and Bianca, Bernard.

Tanya:
Bianca and Bernard. King [inaudible 00:21:34].

Heather:
Oh my goodness.

Tanya:
Kuzco. Kuzco! Love him!

Steph:
Yeah, love Kuzco.

Heather:
They had Mulan and Shang. Shang is the reason why I started doing Run Disney and then I never still got to meet him because they cut him when I started it but, he's there. Hercules and Meg. Again, ones that aren't like … I mean, they're rare but not like rare like these other ones but, still. [inaudible 00:22:06].

Tanya:
Clopin, I see Clopin.

Heather:
Oh yeah. I don't know, I didn't have [inaudible 00:22:11], that they didn't have.

Tanya:
Yeah, I'm not quite sure but, whatever I'll take one.

Heather:
They had like, Chicken Little and Abby. Like I said, and normal ones like different princesses like, Ana and Elsa, Elena-

Tanya:
Dark Wing and Launch Pad.

Heather:
Yeah, Penelope.

Tanya:
The Incredibles.

Heather:
Yeah. Then, like I said they had Merida. Any of the princesses that walked out and then the other thing and they all came out for that.

Tanya:
Joy and Sadness, and Princess Elena.

Steph:
Oh, yay.

Heather:
Sofia, Flick and Atta.

Steph:
Awe.

Heather:
Pretty much-

Tanya:
Yeah it was a lot.

Heather:
…ever, and again, they're just like all coming. They came out in a line and then they went kind of, around the hub in a circle and it's like, “Oh my goodness. Where do I look?” Then they had these like, carriage things. I don't know how to explain them but, then they had someone bicycling them. On those, they had all the characters that were in the beginning, Mickey, Minnie, and all them. They had these special one day only 25th anniversary outfits so they were on these carriages and they came flying in, they went around, and they came off the thing, then they did a dance. We were still freaking out and then some of the other characters got on the carriages and they were going around. Penelope was going around and-

Tanya:
It was just sensory overload. Sensory overload.

Steph:
Yeah, I'm totally feeling that even though I didn't experience it.

Tanya:
You didn't know which way to look, you didn't know like … it was just so much … we were facing the castle and we were on the curb. They're in the street and everything right in front of us and we're just like, “Wait!” I don't even know, I couldn't even focus. I couldn't focus between all that going on, like I'm crying, there's so much going on, it was amazing.

Heather:
It was just … yeah, I can't even … it was the most amazing thing I've seen in a Disney park and again, I've seen a lot.

Tanya:
They blew out every other anniversary that any park has every done. By far, by far.

Heather:
They're like, “Your move Disney World”.

Tanya:
Yeah, good luck.

Heather:
[inaudible 00:24:41] here again.

Steph:
Okay so question. Was this a special ticketed event, like an additional-

Tanya:
No.

Steph:
No, this was anyone that was there at the park that day could go?

Tanya:
Anybody could go.

Heather:
The thing too is that, it was more crowded than any other day we were there but, it still wasn't like crazy, ridiculously crowded. It never felt like when I'm at Disney World or even Disney Land. When it's crowded, crowded it didn't even feel like that. When they opened up the gates, because it happened when we were eating breakfast-

Tanya:
We could oversee the gates.

Heather:
We could see, they opened the gates and people were all running to get there.

Tanya:
Yeah.

Heather:
It was … like I said, after they did this thing they were by the hub, then they walked down Main Street and so everybody could see what was going on. It was yeah-

Tanya:
After anything that happened in the hub area in front of the castle, it continued down Main Street so everybody got to see them.

Heather:
Then at the end they had, which was amazing, they had a ton of cast members. It wasn't just like people working there that day-

Tanya:
Are you going to skip the Katherine part? The President of DLP part? Wasn't that in between those two things?

Heather:
Was it? Oh yeah, that was when the characters came out I guess.

Tanya:
Yeah, when they came out in their special outfits they introduced her.

Heather:
I had no idea who she was.

Tanya:
Yeah. I thought, right? We're like, “Who?” The President of DisneyLand Paris came out and did her speech, in half English and half French, again. Then, she introduced … she's the one who said the cast members had a special surprise for everyone. We were like, “Oh, what is it?” Then this, was by far my favorite part of the entire … the rest was cool, don't get me wrong. The rest was really cool but, they kind of flash mobbed. Not really a flash mob but, they came out of the castle … cast members came out of the castle like, a thousand at least-

Heather:
It was a lot, yeah. They came out on both sides so like part of them went left and part of them went right around the hub-

Tanya:
…doing the routine to the song. They all learned the routine.

Steph:
Oh that's cool.

Tanya:
It was really, really good.

Steph:
I saw video that you guys posted while you were over there of that and I thought it was the neatest thing ever.

Heather:
Oh yeah. They take so much pride in their park there. It was really cool because some of them I guess were working that day so they were in their costumes and then other ones weren't but, it was really cool. There as this Star Tours guy who was so into it, I couldn't stop watching him. It was just-

Steph:
How fun.

Heather:
Yeah.

Tanya:
There were a couple of them that I'm like, “Yeah, you go with that routine.” It was so good. They went all the way down Main Street and around too.

Heather:
Yeah.

Tanya:
That's not [inaudible 00:27:38] they had to have been there really early. To get ready for that, not to mention learning. It wasn't like a short routine either, it was a pretty decently long routine.

Steph:
Wow, I would be a mess.

Heather:
There was so many of them.

Steph:
If it were me it would be like, “No Steph, please don't. You're not going to be in this. Everyone but you”.

Tanya:
There was a lot of them.

Heather:
The whole thing lasted like, 45 minutes or something. I'm looking at my pictures and the last cast member picture I have is like 9:46 so, this was like a long … this was amazing.

Tanya:
Yeah.

Heather:
It was yeah. That was … we're just like-

Tanya:
That was just the beginning of the day.

Heather:
This is not even 10 a.m. now. It's like, “Oh my goodness, what do we do?” Then they had like the characters who like I said had these special outfits just for that day, they met in those outfits during the day.

Tanya:
Just for that day.

Steph:
Oh neat!

Heather:
Just for that day, so I mean-

Steph:
Were you running around to try and get as many as you could?

Heather:
Oh yeah.

Tanya:
Yes.

Heather:
We got them.

Tanya:
We got all of them.

Steph:
Oh yay!

Heather:
Those lines were … but yeah. We did.

Tanya:
They were crazy.

Heather:
Clarice and Max, I mean, Duffy and Shelly May, and of course you know, Mickey, Minnie, all of them but I mean, those three, like-

Tanya:
Clarice's outfit, I'm looking at it right now, it's so beautiful.

Heather:
Because Clarice is the first one we met. We were like, “Ah! Clarice!”

Tanya:
Yeah. So good.

Heather:
Their outfits, they were like these blue, and pink, and feathers and it was just-

Tanya:
I really liked and we'll probably talk about it during the next part that we're going to talk about but, when they were wearing those 25th anniversary outfits. Those day outfits in the actual ceremony, and they're in the [inaudible 00:29:48] too but, the dancers with them, are like in the same blues and pinks and they're like can-can outfits and they're so cute. The dancers in those same colors that they had with them were probably my favorite part of the dancing costumes for sure.

Heather:
Yeah.

Tanya:
I loved them because they looked very French. They were very … they fit the themeing perfectly. But yeah, [inaudible 00:30:16].

Heather:
This was like the thing that they actually brought over a lot of Walt Disney World cast members because they needed so many so, they also have … what we found out is that they have overtime laws there so that's why they needed more so …  but that's why I heard people were coming over and I'm like, “Well, I wonder what-” and now you see why and you see why, it's like, “Oh my goodness, there's like hundreds-”

Tanya:
Yeah, we heard a lot of people were flying over there and we're like, “I don't understand what for” you know? “But okay. I guess it's going to be cool” like no, I didn't not expect this at all.

Heather:
Yeah. I mean when we talk about dancers, we're not talking about two or three dancers. I mean there were like 20 or some dancers in each section.

Tanya:
Yeah, just from Disney World alone they took what, two plane fulls of people over?

Heather:
Yeah, and I think they brought over people from … someone else was telling me from like, England too and then … yeah, so there was a ton of people involved in this whole ceremony. After that, you mentioned the [inaudible 00:31:19] so, they had the character [inaudible 00:31:22] it was a parade and it basically was just the parade with all these characters in it.

Tanya:
Yeah. Every character that was in the opening ceremony, is now marching down the street-

Heather:
Yeah.

Tanya:
…to a street party. No floats, no nothing, just them-

Steph:
Wow.

Tanya:
…dancing.

Heather:
Yeah, they did that twice during the day. We saw it from two different places. I liked the second place we saw it because the first place was the whole sun, and the shadows. The second time we saw it, much better pictures because they were coming the other way so … the hard thing was the character would be on the other side so like, Jessica Rabbit was always on the other side and I'm just like, “Ah!”

Tanya:
Yeah, she was never where she needed to be for me.

Heather:
It was just so cool to see them all just walking down.

Tanya:
Yeah that [inaudible 00:32:14] was a lot of fun.

Heather:
That was a ton of fun, so I'm glad we got to see that twice too.

Tanya:
Yeah.

Heather:
They were also … that carriage thingy's and the-

Tanya:
Yeah. They were in that too.

Heather:
They were in that but otherwise there was no-

Tanya:
I posted the full video on YouTube, on my YouTube channel already so I'll link that in.

Steph:
Oh cool.

Tanya:
Or you can just watch … I have the link for the Disney Parks Log live stream the whole thing and it's still there so … like, the entire ceremony.

Steph:
You streamed it on Facebook or on YouTube?

Heather:
No, Disney live streamed it.

Tanya:
Disney live streamed it.

Steph:
Oh!

Heather:
Yeah.

Tanya:
It's worth taking an hour and watching that opening ceremony because it's really cool.

Steph:
Okay, cool.

Tanya:
I just have on YouTube the [inaudible 00:32:59].

Steph:
Okay.

Heather:
A lot of the pictures I've been posting have been from the [inaudible 00:33:06] because I mean, I took a lot during the ceremony but then the [inaudible 00:33:10] they're right on top of you so … any time there's any kind of excuse, it's like oh, it's the Rescuers anniversary. [inaudible 00:33:17]. That was amazing, I think it was like the greatest Disney day.

Steph:
Like a dream, totally. It's so incredible. I'm so glad that the two of you were able to do this and do it together. Like I've said before, that made me so happy that the two of you got to go do this and to do it together. It wouldn't be right if only one of you went.

Tanya:
True.

Steph:
I don't think, I don't think it would be right.

Heather:
We would have been holding it over the others head forever like, remember …

Tanya:
“Well, I went to Paris”. Besides the ceremony, the [inaudible 00:34:06], the characters, and then as you left the park that night they've been doing for the anniversary … I guess it's for the anniversary just Mickey, right? On the daily basis.

Heather:
Mm-hmm (affirmative).

Tanya:
He does like a goodnight over the train station as people are walking out. He up there for a good amount of time, just waving bye as people are walking out. For this day, they were in the outfits, right?

Heather:
Yeah.

Tanya:
All of them were up there. All of them in their special 25th anniversary outfits saying goodnight to everybody.

Steph:
Oh wow. That's neat.

Tanya:
Yeah, it was super cute. I think that is … after that I passed out from exhaustion.

Heather:
Yeah because it's an eventful day.

Tanya:
That was a full day for sure.

Heather:
That was also the first day in the regular parade, the dragon breathes fire.

Tanya:
Yeah. I guess when they first started that parade for the media, before the anniversary, they had her breathe fire that day for the media and then they turned it off and they were like, “Nope, not until the anniversary”.

Steph:
Really?

Tanya:
Yeah, so when we watched the normal parade … because they did the [inaudible 00:35:16] and the normal parade. So, when they did the normal parade on that day we got to see the fire finally, after like five days of seeing the parade.

Heather:
Yeah.

Tanya:
That was exciting. Fire.

Steph:
That's good.

Tanya:
Yeah, I think that's pretty much it, right?

Heather:
Yeah, that's it.

Steph:
Okay. People can look at your pictures like you said, on Instagram I want to let people know though that they don't actually have to have an Instagram account to go and look at those. You can go in any web browser and just do Instagram.com\TanyaH666 to see Tanya's feed or Instagram.com\HeatherW25 to see Heather's Instagram feed.

Tanya:
Is there a … I'm just going to make up my own stuff now. I need an app that makes like a slide show out of my … like I can just choose from Instagram. That way I can just post a slideshow of all the photos and you don't have to like, search through my feed, you know what I mean?

Steph:
Oh, yeah. I bet that there's a … are you on Word Press for your blog?

Tanya:
Yes.

Steph:
I bet you that there's a plug in that you can do that with.

Tanya:
A plug in for that?

Steph:
Uh huh.

Tanya:
Okay.

Steph:
Absolutely. In fact, I think I've used it before on Capturing Magic.

Tanya:
Yeah, that would just make it a lot easier.

Steph:
Yeah, that would be great.

Tanya:
I'll look into that, okay. That's it.

Steph:
Okay.

Tanya:
There's an app for everything, so …

Steph:
There's either an app or a plug in, yes for everything. For real.

Okay, let's remind our listeners where they can find you Tanya.

Tanya:
