It’s hard to imagine that ten years ago, no one really knew what social media was. We didn’t post status updates, or share our selfies on Instagram, and the hashtag was nothing more than that symbol that meant number. In today’s world, social media has become part of the everyday conversation. Our world is dominated by Likes, Fan Pages, and 140 characters…so naturally, it would begin to factor into our Disney memories.
When I went to Disney World in 2012, I knew that I wanted to included social media to some extent in my album, but I wasn’t really sure how. Knowing that I was going to do my album in pocket style, I went on a search for some pocket scrapbooking cards to use for my album. I was lucky enough to find these gems from Pepppermint Creative, and they were free!
I used the cards in a few different spots in my album.
I also used an Instagram style freebie that I found from Traci Reed.
You can see it here.
I am really happy with these additions to my album, I think they bring some everyday authenticity to the pages. If you are interested in adding some social media cards to your pocket album, here are some other great resources.
Hope they can help you catch all of those awesome Disney memories!
