Creating Mini Albums with Ephemera

Creating a Mini Album with Disney EphemeraAs a scrapbooker I collect EVERYTHING! My husband is so used to this that he hands me all the maps, tickets, receipts etc from our excursions — yes he is a good scrapbooking husband!

On our last trip to Disneyland we got to stay at the Grand Californian Hotel. I kept everything, the cards left by turn down service, the stationery in the room, and the coasters provided in the room. I also had a friend visit the parks this summer and stay at the Disneyland Hotel. She brought me back a ton of stuff from the parks and the hotel. As I looked at the redesigned print materials from the Disneyland Hotel I was drawn to the retro images. The wheels started turning, and I decided to create mini albums using the coasters as covers.

I cut additional circles from cardstock with my electronic cutter. To add to the vintage look I chose the images I took with the Hipstamatic app on my iPhone using the James M lens and the BlacKeys B&W film. The coasters are only 4″ in diameter so I needed small images. The Zink hAppy was the perfect choice. I picked the images I wanted and sent them to the little printer and presto perfect 2″ square images for the album!

For embellishments I used park maps, hotel stationery, washi tape and the Vintage Tickets from Brit-tish Designs. Once I had all the pages completed I put it all together with my Bind-it-All.

After your next trip take a minute to review all your memrobillia and ephemera and see what you can make from it.
