Saving Up your Disney Dollars

Saving Disney Dollars - Digital Paper Crafts

I am back this month with a way to make your pre-trip magic start just a little bit sooner.  Our trip is not until the fall but my kids have already started saving up for souvenirs – so I thought it might be a good idea to give them a fun place to keep their money.  So I created these Disney Dollars saving envelopes with a kit from WM[squared] called Feel the Magic and the hybrid template Gifted Vol. 3: Money Card from Wendy Bird Designs.  They were really easy to put together and I quickly swapped out the background paper so each of my girls had an envelope that was a little bit different from the other.

Here are a couple pictures of the process….

If you have not tried using a template or using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to create craft projects check out this post at The Daily Digi about getting started.  The concept for hybrid craft templates is the same for digital scrapbooking templates but once you add your papers and elements – you will then print it out and put it together.  Wendy's templates all include instructions for putting the template together once printing as well. But if that is to much to think about doing you (or even your kids) could doctor up a regular envelope to save the money in.

Here is a look at the products that I used to create the envelopes:

What are some ways that they earn Disney Dollars for?  Each received them at Halloween for turning in their candy, they will get some for Valentine's Day, Easter, grades — we have been a little bit more generous with the Disney Dollars than we are with giving them “real money” because we know they can only spend it in one place!

Do you give out Disney Dollars to your family members?
